First you need to install the RIVIAM mobile app onto your iPad, then you need to login to it.
How to install the RIVIAM immunisations mobile app
The RIVIAM Immunisations Mobile app is published via your organisation’s app store for Apple devices. The app should be available for you to install. If this is not the case, please contact your administrator for help. The following illustration shows the RIVIAM app icon on the iPad:
Please ensure the RIVIAM Immunisations Mobile app is installed on your iPad device before the training day.
If you can’t see it or you have any questions on this, please contact your IT support.
How to log in to the RIVIAM Immunisations mobile app
Please follow the below 7 steps to login to the RIVIAM Immunisations Mobile Application. To note: there is also a video showing this at the bottom of this page.
1. Enter Touch ID to authenticate your device
- Step 1 - Touch the home button on your device
- Step 2 - Click Enter Passcode
To note: If you touch Cancel by mistake, please close and re-open the app and go back to Step 1.
- Step 3 - Enter your device passcode
2. Request an activation code
You will already have received in your email a RIVIAM activation code. If you haven’t received an email you can request one via the app by clicking ‘Request a code’ just below the ‘Continue to activate’ button.
Step 1- Click 'activate a user'
Step 2 - Enter email and Request a code
A 'Sent activation code' message will appear.
RIVIAM will now send you an email that should appear in your account within a minute.
Now enter your email address and press the ‘Continue to activate’ button and wait for the activation email.
|It is not possible to gain access to the app if you have not already been added to RIVIAM. Each user needs to have a named account for audit purposes and it’s important that account information is not shared.|
3. Receive activation email
You will receive a RIVIAM activation email. The email contains a code as shown in Figure 5 below, in this case 53C660.
Q: What happens if I don’t receive an activation email?
A: This means you are not setup on RIVIAM with the email you provided to get the code. Please contact your administrator to request a RIVIAM Acccount.
4. Fill in your first name and last name
Fill in your first name and last name, then click Next.
5. Fill in your activation code, email address and password
Now on the activation page, enter the activation code, your email address and set a password. Click Activate.
You must enter a password that you can remember and is only known by you. RIVIAM will ask you to provide your email address and password each time you login.
6. Login to the Immunisations Mobile Application.
Once your RIVIAM account is activated and password is set, you can then login by entering your:
- Email address
7. Enabling location
RIVIAM uses the location of the device to ensure that information about patients is only accessible within the UK. Each time your location changes the mobile app updates RIVIAM with the current location of the app. You are able to control if the app shares location when prompted on the iPad as follows:
Select ‘Allow While Using App’ to save your login credentials on the mobile app.
Please note, this data will only be shared with RIVIAM Cloud securely for the purposes of the application and supporting the delivery of the immunisations service. Please refer to your information sharing policy <>.
