Bookable clinics can be used for home-schooled children or community catch-up clinics where parents can book an appointment for their child to attend a clinic on a specific day and at a specified time.
The bookable eConsent form contains the same questions as the school eConsent link (for each specific immunisation programme). However, the first section of the form is the Consent Check: the parent will be asked to provide the child’s first name, last name, date of birth and postcode to check if there is already a consent for that child.
RIVIAM will only allow parents to continue to book an appointment if certain criteria are met.
If RIVIAM completes the search for the child's consent and returns the following messages, there are specific reasons:
- "We could not find your child's details; please check the details or click 'Continue' to complete a new consent and book an appointment" The system didn't find any records matching the demographics submitted for that specific immunisation programme; therefore, the parent will need to complete a consent form and make a booking.
- "We are unable to proceed with this booking. Please contact XXX on XXXX or email us using xxx@xxx.com": This message appears if the child has either been vaccinated already or has already made a booking.
- "We found your child's consent details, please click Continue to book an appointment": This means that there is already a consent submitted for that child in that specific programme and the parent can continue to book an appointment.
BEFORE sending parents the bookable URL link, customers will need to set up the bookable clinics in RIVAM. Please check our guide on How to Set Up a Bookable Clinic.
There is also the option for clinicians to book an appointment on behalf of a parent using the Internal Button. Please, check our guide Internal "Book and Appointment" Button.
